Approach:

Following the successful delivery of our first project in Saudi Arabia, our collaboration with the client strengthened, leading to additional opportunities across key developments. The next phase included the Shura Island internal bridges. A critical infrastructure element with 11 bridges of differing design. Unique bridge designs has elevated Shura Island as a signature destination within the Red Sea Global (RSG) Development, where durability, design integrity, and environmental harmony were paramount.

Solution:

KodeK®  flex weave bamboo decking was installed along a 1.2 km causeway and 11 internal bridges. Providing a resilient, high-performance surface suited for both pedestrian and light vehicle, golf buggy use. To achieve a refined, seamless aesthetic, we incorporated our bullnose T&G headers with concealed side fixings, eliminating visible hardware and delivering a sleek architectural finish. The chosen decking tone, Desert Hue was developed using our Flex Weave® process, producing a rich, natural color that blends beautifully with the surrounding landscape.

Conclusion:

This Shura causeway bridge and internal bridges showcase the strength, precision, and design adaptability of the KodeK® decking and bespoke product range, in a challenging, high-visibility environment. This project also reflects the growing trust in our materials and capabilities as we continue to support Red Sea Global in building sustainable, world-class destinations that respect both form and function.
